There is a huge impact that physical health can have on our mental health, included eating a well-balanced and nutritious diet. This has a positive impact and plays an important role in building our mental wellness and resilience.

We asked you to create a meal that included food from three or more of the different food groups. Here are your submissions!


Baked Oats ~ Meaghan A.

 "1/2 cup rolled oats

  1/2 banana

  1 egg

  1 tbsp maple syrup

  1 tbsp peanut butter

  1/4 tbsp baking powder

   A pinch of sea salt

  1/4 cup almond milk (any type of         milk will work)

   A pinch of cinnamon


  Blend till oats are blended

  Stir in chocolate chips

  Pour into greased baking dish

  Place extra chocolate chips on-top    (optional)

  Bake at 3:50 for about 25-30  mins"

Baked Feta Pasta ~ Emily P.

"I took a recipe that my family had loved in the past but added more veggies and a healthy pasta substitute. Baked Feta Pasta with Vegetables First, I put cherry tomatoes, a block of feta cheese, olive oil, & a whole bunch of spices & herbs into a casserole dish and cooked it in the oven at 400 degrees for about 30 mins. Once the tomatoes looked cooked and the cheese was soft, I stirred it until it became a smooth sauce and added some spinach, mushrooms, and broccoli. I boiled some black bean spaghetti and poured the sauce over the pasta. I topped with basil and grated parmesan cheese, and voilà! You have a healthy, delicious baked feta pasta with vegetables."
